Meet Goliath! This gentle and affectionate giant is a 140 lb Mastiff. He was found in the middle of a dark rural road in Ohio by a Good Samaritan and is currently in a foster home.
Now that Goliath is a bit more settled, we have discovered what a gentle, loveable boy he is! He is friendly and loves kids and his foster sister (who is also a Mastiff!) He is also fine around cats and is working on interacting with male dogs. Looking for a cuddle buddy? He is your guy! Napping is one of his favorite activities.
Goliath is quick learner and currently working on crate training, but is fully potty trained. He loves to be around people and often follows his foster family from room to room to keep them company. Goliath would do best in a home with fenced in yard and a family who understands his breed and their behaviors.
He is fully vaccinated, dewormed and on a heartworm preventative. Goliath has recently been neutered and has his stomach tacked due to gastropexy. Additionally, large breed dogs sometimes need what’s called a gastropexy. This surgical procedure is sometimes performed in large breed dogs to prevent gastric dilatation and volvulus (GDV), also known as bloat.
